Most of us in Operations support have a routine task of monitoring the batch and then capture the runtimes to send status reports to all stakeholders. Either the batch processing is triggered, scheduled and monitored via third party tool or it can be done via standard/custom ABAP programs. If there is no third party tool to capture the runtimes then this SAP provided standard ABAP report will be very helpful to look for all process chains that are scheduled for the day with runtimes for daily status reporting. With this program you can
- Identify Process Chain IDs for which runtimes are to be captured and then you can save the list of all process chains as variants later for daily reporting
- Provide Date Range to check for logs of Today, Yesterday & Today, One Week, One Month, One Year, Free Date Range…
- Get the status of all process chain (Success/Fail)
Step 1: Go to SE38
Step 2: Select Process Chain Analysis and Hit Execute
Step 3: Select the Time Zone, I am on UK Time Zone so I select GMTUK and then select Process Chains
Step 4: Select the process chain for which you need to capture the runtimes, their date range for logs and and select approproate status
Status 5: Data Output for selected date range
If you want to check for individual steps in the process chain and their respective runtimes then hit compre runtimes button
