This document describes the various ways in which SAP Community Network (SCN) allows you to provide feedback to SCN members on blog posts, documents and other types of content.
Community members can rate, reply, "like" and comment on SCN content. You don't always have to write something new, such as a blog post or document, to give your feedback. You'll find “like” buttons across SCN and rating widgets, too. Your feedback helps you earn valuable points -- along with the author -- while helping others find quality content.
Message Replies
You can reply to discussion threads and comment on blog posts and documents. Simply click Reply or Comment.
- Message replies on discussion threads can be marked as "helpful" or correct." This is important in helping others identify the right answers and closing open threads.
- Comments and messages can be "liked" if members find them useful.
Likes and Ratings
- The "like" button will often appear on content, as well as messages and comments. You also have the opportunity to rate content.
- The "like" button appears in the Actions box on content and individual message replies to discussion threads. You can also unlike something, if you choose.
- Content can be rated using between one to five stars, with or without a comment.
Keep in mind that when you or other members "like" blogs and documents, the most liked content will automatically start to appear in widgets on the SCN homepage. Liking content is a valuable way to surface the best materials to your peers. In addition,"likes" give the creator of the content 2 points on SCN. Accumulating good ratings means getting even more points.
